Social justice means everyone’s human rights are respected, protected, and promoted. Everyone has access to equal opportunities and the resources necessary to thrive. This doesn’t guarantee a perfect society where everyone is always happy; however, everyone will have a fighting chance at the life they want.

Health and safety standards, equal pay, working hour limitations, and the freedom to form and join trade unions are examples. With more people today living in conditions of slavery than ever before, laws protecting against labour exploitation, like the Modern Slavery Act 2015, are vital to achieve social justice.

Social justice is fairness as it manifests in society. That includes fairness in healthcare, employment, housing, and more. In a socially-just society, human rights are respected and discrimination is not allowed to flourish

This is what RHAC-Uganda Aspires for.
