At RHAC-Uganda, we believe that every child has the right to grow up in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. Our Child & Family Protection Programme is designed to prevent violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation while strengthening families and communities to provide the care and protection that every child deserves.
Our Approach
RHAC-Uganda adopts a family- and community-centred approach that empowers parents, caregivers, educators, and local leaders to protect children and promote their well-being.
Our programme combines prevention, protection, education, psychosocial support, and partnerships to create safer environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Core Program Pillars
Prevention & Community Awareness
We raise awareness on child protection through community campaigns, parenting workshops and school programs.
Family Support Services
We provide counseling, parenting support, family strengthening programs and childcare services to build strong families.
Legal Protection & Advocacy
We promote children’s rights, provide legal aid referrals and advocate for stronger policies and child protection systems.
Child Protection & Crisis Response
We respond to reports of abuse, provide protection services and ensure children and families receive the help they need.
Health & Psychosocial Support
We ensure access to medical care, psychosocial support and mental health services for children and families.
Education & Economic Support
We support education, scholarships, skills training and livelihood programs for children and families.
