Microenterprise Support
Empowering Small Businesses for Sustainable Economic GrowthRHAC-Uganda provides microenterprises with the financial resources, skills and
market opportunities they need to grow and thrive.
Microenterprises play a vital role in driving inclusive economic growth, creating employment opportunities, and improving household livelihoods, particularly in rural communities. These small businesses—typically employing fewer than ten people and operating with limited startup capital—serve as the foundation of local economies and contribute significantly to poverty reduction.
At RHAC-Uganda, we support the growth and sustainability of microenterprises by equipping entrepreneurs with the knowledge, financial resources, and market opportunities needed to build resilient businesses. More than 53% of our beneficiaries are women-led enterprises engaged in agricultural value chains, reflecting our commitment to women’s economic empowerment and inclusive development.

Why Microenterprise Support Matters
Across much of Africa, many rural farmers and small entrepreneurs remain excluded from formal financial systems. Limited access to affordable credit, reliable markets, and business development services often forces producers to depend on intermediaries who purchase agricultural products at low prices and retain a significant share of the profits.
RHAC-Uganda is committed to changing this reality by empowering rural entrepreneurs with the skills, financial resources, and market connections needed to maximize the value of their products and transition from subsistence production to profitable commercial enterprises.
